people are going to kill them selves slowing eating crap, smoking crap and drinking crap whether mcdonalds doubles it locations or closes all together. The vast majority of the population doesn't care enough to stop.
McD's are simply moving stores around. In the end they may close more than they open, but this isn't a sign of them failing or Americans rejecting fast food to become more healthy.
McD's did $27 billion in revenue last year, with $4.7 billion in profit after all expenses. They are just fine.

That's why I am asking you, I saw this news everywhere in FB, TW .... I found only one closed MD in my area, and one Burger King.

all I see is the 4.75 billion they net'd. yeah, they're struggling.....
So, you're saying the US Government gives McD's billions of dollars of US taxpayers' money?
I think it's a stab at bailing out the banks, even though the banks already paid back all those billions plus interest. Probably the most profitable investment the US govt has made, and returned in only a few years.
These past year I've kept hearing McDonalds is struggling but you'd never know it from their stock price, it's not taken a hit. It's at an all time high actually.

I think some need to close, I understand they're popular, but they're way too dense, at least around me. There are like 8 I can get to within a 7 minute drive. There's one inside the Walmart and a regular one directly outside. There are 2 in easy walking distance from me, that's overkill imho.

I'm confused. You're saying they're closing everywhere, except you only found one closed in your area, so you're basing this on... nothing?
Can you quote the relevant parts of that article that lend credence to your position? I couldn't find any.
