There is a youtube vid interview from ABC sometime last year I think...as I am watching it I am listening to the female Manager and just thinking...WTF? either she is one of the dumbest people on the planet OR she was in on it.......

youtube vid

SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky. - A jury awarded $6.1 million Friday to a woman who was forced to strip for a search in a McDonald's back office after someone called the restaurant posing as a police officer reporting a theft.

Louise Ogborn, who was 18 during the 3 1/2-hour ordeal, was forced to undress and perform sexual acts with the boyfriend of a former assistant manager at the restaurant while the man was on the phone with the bogus caller, according to a surveillance video shown to jurors during the four-week trial.

Ogborn, now 21, sued McDonald's Corp., claiming the fast-food giant failed to warn her and other employees about the caller who already struck other McDonald's stores and other fast-food restaurants across the country. She sought $200 million in damages, but McDonald's argued the company was not responsible and was being sued because of its deep pockets.

Below is a Youtube video about the McDonalds strip search that contains an interview with Louise Ogborn.WARNING This video contains a scene of oral sex which has been blured out.

I saw this on Dateline last year. It was one of the most disgusting displays of human behaviour I've ever seen - and from more than one party.

First, the caller who was able to manipulate people.
Second, the Manager who allowed all of this to go on - most of the time while she was in the office.
Third, the Manager's fiancee who had the girl perform the oral act on him.
Fourth, the girl herself, who didn't have the common sense to say "F*** Off" and just walk out.

The only person who showed any restraint and told it like it was, was another 18 year old male employee.

Only $6 million? Should have been 10x that amount since they were warned of a caller who struck other mcdonalds. Her parents should probably pay 1/2 the judgment tho for letting their daughter grow up so naive. :frown:

Blind fucking obedience! Jeez!

How can you be so blindly obedient to authority.. Either the manager and her fiancee were in on it and set up the call or.. Actually thats the ONLY possible explanation for this, a grown man doing things like that to a girl for a 'police officer' over the telephone! I can't believe anyone could be so damn stupid! They MUST have been in on it.

And as for the girl i don't even know where to start, she gave the guy a blowjob because a 'police officer' told a guy on the phone that she had to, when she was apparently there for being strip searched! Grow a fuckin backbone!

fuck that. the girl does not deserve a thing. As soon as the manager told her to take off her clothes she should have told him to jump in a lake and called the cops.

she needs to take some responsibility for what happened.

You guys can't be serious? You think this was legit?

This is clearly a set-up by some assholes that wanted big bucks from McDonalds, and got exactly what they wanted. How much more obvious could a scam be? "I was taught to do what an adult tells me and not ask questions, no matter what" .... that includes BJs and 10 minutes of spanking from some old exterminator? Please... McDonalds should have fought this harder.

This happened here in KY and was dominating the news as the trial went on.

The whole time I kept thinking - "This was a setup. It stinks of a con-job."

Sounds like a scam to me. They probably heard about it happening at other McD's and figured they could score a quick settlement.

They rejected the initial settlements, which were rumored to be much more than the jury awarded.

oh, and the "Manager" got a chunk of change as well. 1.1 million I think.

This was a bit excessive, but many people will do outrageous things for a superior. Many in the fast food line of work are not the brightest people.

Social Engineering is a big thing in the world. Power of suggestion is as well.

You guys need to take a class in social psychology. We are all sheep. As incredulous as it all seems, people cave when confronted with authority.

Louise Ogborn McDonalds Security Tape

From my understanding she was threatened by the boyfriend. After the jury saw that i think it was over for McFaters. Also did nto help that someone from the Def. Mcdonalds said that its hard to get the message out about stuff like this. Of course the other attorney came back with "you don;t seem to have a problem getting the message out the McRib is back again..."

Basicly between the tape and McDonalds sounding like well we don;t make money protecting/informing our people they lost as they were even more dumb.

I think the manager should be injail with the boyfriend. You can see on the tape as soon as the manager came into the office her boyfriend stopped doing things to the girl.

The easier people are to intimidate, the easier they are to break down over time and manipulate. Weaknesses and vulnerabilities are not only exploited by criminals but also by law enforcement officials, for example when trying to extract confessions from suspects and using a long period of time to do it. Some are damn good at getting people to do or say things they had no intention of doing or saying at the outset.

By the time he made her do sexual favors, he already owned her, and she was too frightened and intimidated to have been able to resist much of anything.

So should McDonald's also warn their burger flippers that they shouldn't stick their fingers in electrical sockets too? If one of them does that should McD's be held liable. There's this thing called common sense.

Yep. Look at the military. they bring you in break you down in boot camp and train you so that you follow orders, period. the Nazis did the same with their soldiers.

How stupid is the manager for blindly obeying a "cop" OVER THE PHONE that tells her to take some random employee into a back room and strip search her??? I mean I know it doesn't take a rocket scientist to run a McDonalds, but I don't think they just give these franchises away, she must have some sort of intelligence???

I don't believe any of this for one second - but it is confusing if they were conning why the exterminator would force a blowjob .. :\

You DO know the manager also got some of the money for not being properly "trained" don't you? It was McDonald's fault she didn't know what to do and was just following what the phone told her.
