McDonalds new McDouble burger

JEDI

Lifer
the McDouble seems to be exactly the same as the double cheeseburger minus 1 slice of cheese.

the double cheese burger is still on the menu at $1.19 at my local McDonalds.

Whats the point of having both?
i dont understand is why they even bothered to put cheese on the mcDouble.

i would have figured they would differeniate between the 2 iems by having the McDouble being the cheeseless version of the double cheeseburger.

these 2 burgers are too similiar to each other, and take up valuable space on the menu board.

in a few years, will McDonalds be in line for the next bailout? (right after Starbucks)

Supply cost increases coupled with a desire to keep a double-something on the dollar-menu.

They just threw some marketing at it to try to cover it up.

there was a thread somewhere around here about the supermarket shrink ray. it had a link to a pretty good article.

I saw that shit. I told the manager specifically - "sorry, you just lost a dollar from me and every time I visit. I would have spent an extra dollar like I do everytime but I will no longer do so."

They're doing it cus they were losing money on the double cheese burgers. Prices rose on cheese and beef so they were going to rise the price of the double cheeseburger to $1.19. It's still 99c around me and not McDouble around me.

They're still laughing at you, and the manager himself lungered up your order. 😉

Precisely.

I doubt that we'll see it reversed.

Its all about the McGangBang

A spicy mcchicken in between the two patties of a double cheese.

It is glorious

exactly! why not just make the mcDouble a cheeseless version of the double cheese burger? (ie: double hamburger)

that makes more sense than putting out a new item very similiar to the one it replaces.

and yes Starbucks is in trouble. Profits dropped 90%+ last quarter. bad econ = fewer people buying $5 lattes.

Sound like someone needs a nice juicy wahmburger with a side of french cries.

It's too freaking expensive. I'm not paying over $2 for that thing. Granted, it tastes awesome, but it needs to be on the dollar menu.
