They are FAR from the only company that produces such an iced milk product.

Look at Tim Horton's Ice Cap. Soo delicious, but in volume is not much actual coffee. Most iced coffee is produced in such a way. Good luck finding iced coffee that is literally black coffee and ice. You have to make that yourself if you want it. Well, take that back, you can order it at some places, but most places that sell Iced Coffee are in fact selling the product as an Iced Latte of sorts.

I like it.

One time I ordered an iced coffee from a coffee cart thinking it would be the same, and it was literally black coffee on ice. Nasty.

they have different kinds... personally i prefer the unsweetened ones. Next time just ask for more coffee and less milk.

McD's coffee is decent, better than the rest of the fast food restaurants. However, I prefer stronger brewed coffee so I just make it at home before I leave the house.

Also, not sure but do they just use the regular brewed coffee for the iced? It drives me up the wall when I see someone pouring hot coffee over ice unless its brewed double strength. I guess they have to add all of that milk and sugar just so it has some flavor.

That's what I expected. Iced coffee. Not iced milk with coffee.

By giving money to McDonalds, hereby known as The Seller, you enter an agreement in which you accept the fact that The Seller does not sell real food, but chemical composites resembling food.

I like it, not as "coffee" but as a sweet drink that has a coffee flavor. It's to coffee, what orange drink is to orange juice.

McDee's coffee in all its forms are a disgrace to coffee just like Craft Singles are disgrace to cheese

McDonald's new premium coffee tastes horrible unless you like coffee that is as weak as tea? Look forward to Whataburgers columbian coffee?

You know what drives me nuts? That stupid message they play at the drive through when you pull up to order your food. Instead of the drive through guy saying can I take your order, they play some stupid recorded message asking if I'd like a premium roast mocha latte crappucino today? So then you've got to say no I don't. Then the actual drive through attendant asks to take your order. If I wanted an effing dildo coffee, don't you think I'd order it when you asked for my order? Instead they're going to waste 30 seconds of my life trying to sell me crap I don't want. Maybe it's stupid, but it annoys the crap outta me.

Totally agree. OP, you thread title should read:

"McDonalds ... how do people eat and drink this crap?

People may "like" the taste of their "food" ... or they are just too lazy to eat helthy. The money "saved" today will be needed to pay the health care bill that will come due in the future. Unfortunately many of the people that eat there will not be able to afford health care ... so we, the taxpayer will pay it for them.

When I used to go to Starbucks and ask for a "iced coffee", it would just be cold (black) coffee on ice.

Makes sense.

Same as Dunkin Donuts, although they add cream/sugar for you wheras SB has an area setup for you to add your own. DD (and I think SB too) also double brews the iced coffee so the ice doesn't dilute it.

At home I just take a pot of really strong black coffee, refrigerate it, and then mix some half and half and maybe a little sugar if I feel like it.

That stuff packs a punch much better than the overpriced stuff at McD's.

Protip: dump the hot coffee into some sort of flat, wide pan to cool it off. This increase the surface area for the heat to dissipate and the coffee cools off more quickly.

So you conducted research on a huge scale to come into this data and aren't just spouting off? What facts do you have to back this up? Last time I went to MCD's the parking lot was full of pretty nice vehicles, definitely wasn't many cars I'd associate with people who can't afford health care. Does eating fast food automatically = a person who has no health care? Here is what I've learned eating. Mind you I probably haven't done the thousands of hours of research you do to come up with your data.

1. I can eat fast food over store bought food cheaper (saving me money)
2. Health Insurance is generally quite expensive
3. If I eat fast food I'll have MORE money left over for things like... health insurance!

So my deductive reasoning leads me to figure out that people who eat almost exclusively food they prepared themselves from a grocery store will be far less likely to be able to afford health insurance.

Until you get into the upper middle class/uber rich, money has shit to do with what people eat. I've lived in middle class areas where most of my neighbors ate tons of fast food. Richer people do tend to care more, I don't see nearly as many fast food places in somewhere like Laguna Beach.
