I want to go there and get asked that and look all weird and then be like, "Well I guess if that's how much cheeseburgers cost..." and then pull my pants down around my ankles and stand there.

After a couple seconds of the employees freaking out I'd say in an extremely disappointed tone "I thought you wanted my sesame buns and special sauce..."

Why feel sorry for the employees? The get to make fun of the customers' dancing.

"Do you want fries with that?" Is the punchline for so many insult jokes, it's nice that Corporate is giving the employees to laugh with or at the customers.

I would gladly pay twice as much to avoid having to participate in that cringe inducing promotion.

I would have done it had I eaten at McDonalds and gotten free food. It's supposed to be fun. Sucks that depressed assholes have to ruin it for everyone. The guy who wrote that piece has forgotten to have fun.

There is innovative marketing and stuff that's just downright creepy. Their marketing has been ranging from desperate to "Maybe I need a restraining order" lately.

Anyone that would be "mortified" by this should probably stay at home, shove coal up their ass and enjoy the resulting diamond.

They've upped their game from their last high of showing people wanting to have sex with a cheeseburger ("I'd hit it")

Too many people do not want to have fun.

At Disney World, the Whispering Canyon restaurant (supposed to be a "fun" experience servers don't treat you normally) now has to hand guests 2 cards so guests can display if they "want to be part of the fun" or if they want a more normal "low key" meal...

Now, marketing is supposed to know stuff like that about their customers...

This reminds me of the time I was at Dick's Last Resort, and dropped the f-word at the server (who laughed and fired back in line with the idea of the restaurant) only to hear "Omg did he just say that?" "I can't believe he said that." whispers from the table behind me.

Some people need to find a good stick removal surgeon.

Agreed.
If you don't want to do it, then just pay cash and STFU.

My friends dad went. He had to give somebody a high-five. Seemed cool enough for me.

It's just stupid Tumblr bullshit. It doesn't make McDonald's more "fun" so much as it makes them seem like they're trying too hard to be hip.

Seems rather creepy. There are a few McDonalds girls I wouldn't mind dancing with though. Although I'm sure they feel that it's creepy as well.

I think this is only a problem for socially awkward people.

Yep. It's a $4 meal, not a free car. If you don't feel like participating, just say "nah, I'll just go ahead and pay", and it's done. Only whiney idiots would complain about it.
