FWIW, I don't think any (D)'s are claiming the party is free of pedos, hypocrites, or corruption. Recent events have shown the (D)'s have plenty of skeletons in their closet as well. However, when a government representative votes socially conservative then pleads guilty to trolling for trouser snake in an airport bathroom it leaves them wide open for public ridicule.

Yes, crimes you are accused of but not convicted of are not on your background check.

That would be a pretty superficial background check then. In a real background check, in addition to the usual public records checks the investigators go and talk to family members, co-workers and employers (present and former and ask very open-ended questions along the lines of do you know anything which may adversely reflect on X? Not foolproof but much more than the cursory look-see PJ suggests.

That said, it is fairly moronic to suggest McCain would have had anything to do with this guy if he had an inkling of this situation. Give it a rest and let McCain live out his twilight years in the Senate.

Since you're one of the most partisan tools on this board, I'm surprised you DON'T have such a list...and while the overall percentage of Republican Pedophiles may be small, AFAIK, it dwarfs any such list of Democrats.
