I'm fairly sure there was a thread on this a couple weeks ago, but yes, supporting this idea is about as un-American as one can get in my opinion.

That would never hold up in court so...hes just tryin to play up to the retarded base. Mccain is smart enough to have survived in politics for this long and he does it by saying dumb shit like this.

So he is lockstepped with Obama on this issue now? Two peas in a pod. 08's election was a choice between tweedledee and tweedledum.

Can the Republicans please lead this RINO out to the pasture?

I’m looking at YOU Tea Party. Oppose and defeat Senator McCain this year, to prove you're worthy.

*sigh*

yet another mis-characterization of legislation.

It's basically just calling what we're in as war, and those we capture as prisoners of war.

Yikes, Arizona is turning this country in to NAZI GERMANY!!!!!!

You guys really are pathetic.

I'm betting 10 to 1, this law is aimed at this NYC bomber, and not allowing him off the hook for what he did, because he is a citizen. If we're going to tear this country apart, let's at least get the facts correct first.

Now isn't it a shame we can't change the rules midstream? Like with bp's 75million dollar "fine"

Did you see the date on this legislation? And have you read it? For the record, Im FOR the AZ law, and vehemently opposed to this. I suggest you read the original thread I posted about this.

No one ever said McCain was the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I agree with the thread premise, ole John has totally lost his way on the one issue that once showed he got it more than GWB.

Some Senators like Ted Kennedy may go out with a dream will never die bang, Senators like McCain will likely go out with a whimpering never had it never will finality.

Yeah, we already covered this bill. The right wingers here keep trying to pin the bill on Obama when it is a GOP production. Weird. Given the right's love affair with police power and impatience with due process, you'd think they would be backing this bill 100%.

it's easy to stand by your principles when you're a Kennedy in Massachusetts.

the loony left ignores this when even the ACLU is against Mr. BHO.

http://www.aclu.org/national-securi...s-drafting-secret-indefinite-detention-policy

wait, what? That's not a year old, oh snap.

Yeah, it is classic hypocrisy. Obama also decided he can kill American citizens without due process. But below is what I was talking about when he decided to indefinately detain people.

Yeah let me guess, the left will claim Rachel Maddow is conservative hitman? :D

Who's lobbying to get him off the hook?
