Did anyone else see McCain on the news complaining about his fellow Republicans? Whooee! No wonder they hate him. Mitch McConnell must be fuming. Just another example of the influence money can by.

Hang in there John. In 4 years you'll get another chance. By then you'll have to go Independent and I'll vote for an Independent for the first time!

The best victory would be for Gore to win and McCain-Feingold to pass. A double whammy to the Republifatcats. :p

Oh, the Senate killed a bill that would have required some minimal reporting by tire manufacturers. (I actually have not seen the bill and only heard about its general outline on the evening news. Doesn't matter-it's dead.)

I have never had a thing for a politician in all my life... I find Clinton repulsive....

But McCain.....

Oh, my my my!!!!!

Yes, I would vote for him, and anything else he would ask of me! :D

Edit; My FDR parents would have voted for McCain, now that is saying something!

Ditto here. Clinton is very smart and manipulative, but I cannot stand the man. I find Gore a pale replacement for Clinton, but at least he's not cheating on his wife. Bush is truly awful. The Republicans could only have done worse if they had nominated Quayle.

If John is healthy in 4 years, I think he will have another chance.

Anyway, his honesty and candor are refreshing.

If Powell would agree, that would be a wonderful pair. We'll see. John built a large base of admirers. Let's hope he's able to swell their ranks in 4 years and either get the Republican nomination or run as an independent.

ahhh...

It's almost enough to bring back my faith and idealism! McCain and Powell? Yes, that would be right!

I have a very strong sense about people and their characters, and those two could bring a sense of pride and integrity back to America. I am so sick of weak slimeball politicians.

Let's just keeping praying, hoping, and voting the best way possible until then....

I could be pro active for that ticket!

This years run for the whitehouse is driven by oil barons.I don't know why that hasn't become clear to the public yet. We are paying the highest prices ever and if anyone thinks they are going down under a Bush ticket for opening Alaska or the coal fields here in Utah(yes A back room deal with our governor and congressmen who want to open up the dixie escalante staircase national monument they got pissed about in 96)is really, really not seeing the whole picture. This is all artificial to get the tax payer to subsidize oil exploration and distribution and refineries, all for those private oil companies that Cheney worked (works?) for and the people that got shafted by GW in his failed enterprises.

Bush is just a mouthpiece for them, and a poor one at that.

Of course, when someone Proves me wrong, I'll change my tone.
