McCain: Obama not telling 'whole truth' Andy Barr

John McCain said Thursday that Barack Obama is still not telling the ?whole truth? about his association with 1960?s radical William Ayers despite explaining the relationship during Wednesday?s debate.

?Senator Obama didn't tell the whole truth about his relationship with Mr. Ayers last night,? McCain said in an interview on Fox News. ?They served together on boards, together they made a decision to give $230,000 to ACORN, the group that is now being involved in what could be one the great voter frauds in American history.?

The Arizona senator also accused Obama of not fully explaining his association with the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now.

?He certainly didn't reveal all of his relationships with ACORN, which his campaign paid $832,000 in the primaries to a front group for ACORN,? McCain said. ?And you know what it was described as? ?Lighting and site preparation' Give me a break.?

?But we know this, that there are allegations of voter fraud by ACORN in every single battleground state. This is a widespread operation. Now we laugh when Mickey Mouse is registered to vote, but we don't laugh, we don't laugh, when there are voter rolls filled up with names that there is no authentication whatsoever. This could violate the most fundamental aspect of democracy and that is a free and fair election.

Pressed on his associations with Ayers and ACORN during the debate, the Illinois senator chided McCain for making the affiliations the ?centerpiece? of his campaign.

Of Ayers, Obama said, ?Forty years ago, when I was 8 years old, he engaged in despicable acts with a radical domestic group. I have roundly condemned those acts. Ten years ago, he served and I served on a school reform board that was funded by one of Ronald Reagan's former ambassadors and close friends, Mr. Annenberg.?

?Mr. Ayers is not involved in my campaign. He has never been involved in this campaign. And he will not advise me in the White House. So that's Mr. Ayers.?

The Illinois Democrat also dismissed any alleged tie to charges of voter registration fraud conducted by ACORN.

?It had nothing to do with us. We were not involved,? Obama said. ?The only involvement I've had with ACORN was I represented them alongside the U.S. Justice Department in making Illinois implement a motor voter law that helped people get registered at DMVs.?

Well, I guess McCain has decided to go out classless.
Even if by some miracle he wins, he will find that half the country hates him so badly he will be President in name only. He couldn't get a bill honoring dogs as mans best friend thru Congress. And in 2010 the Dems will have the 60 they need to emasculate him.
Imagine being a newly elected President and being hated as much as Bush!

I am increasingly of the opinion that McCain is doing this so that when he loses on November 4th he has less to fear from extremely pissed off rednecks who blame him and then come "looking for him". There appears no other way to explain it.

Maybe John McCain can use 'Blaze of Glory' - Bon Jovi in his next campaign stop

It's a simple equation.

Everything that comes out of Faux Noise is a lie.

John McCain accused Obama of not telling "the whole truth" about Ayres.

Therefore, McCain's statement on Faux is false, and Obama has told the whole truth.

I'll buy that for a dollar.

Though I still believe my mother when she says that McCain is intentionally losing as revenge for the smear tactics that the republican party used against him against Bush in 2000.

It's a sad state of affairs, and a sad statement about the repub party in general when somebody who enjoyed the respect that McCain once had debases themselves to appeal to the slack-jawed talk radio segment, over and over and over again.

The gun's empty, John- quit pulling the trigger...

For all the indignation over the idea that he's and older version of GWB, McCain is certainly attempting to emulate GWB's campaign style that work against John Kerry. I guess you can't fault him for trying a proven formula, but it doesn't seem to be working this time around, and worse, it really does make McCain look like Bush.

Is the wording correct in the above. It all seems so childish. There is one Statement above that really does bother me. So I ask Again is the wording in this Ststement correct or is it wrong?

Mr. Ayers is not involved in my campaign. He has never been involved in this campaign. And he will not advise me in the White House. So that's Mr. Ayers.?

I think technically BHO is correct on that statement. What it leaves out though is "past" campaigns. "Has Mr.Ayers every been involved in any of your campaigns?" should be the question posed to BHO because he seems to be telling selective truths...ie not telling the whole truth.

It appears to me that the election fraud argument is trumped up. Some people were being paid to register people and they submitted false applications and were therefore engaged in fraud. However, the phony registrants were not going to vote, so election fraud is not the issue. Red herring, and more diversionary tactics by the desperate McCain campaign.

McCain was doing this during the whole debate too. It was funny and at the same time incredibly transparent and saddening. 'Bill Ayers is not what my campaign's about, I don't care about him.... but just so you know Obama loves terrorists'.
