McAfee or Norton?

Neither. I have never had a virus and have no need for an antivirus program.

famous last words 😉

Yeah, for 20+ years, right?

I'm sorry, but because I am behind a hardware firewall, and never download suspicious files, nor click on prompts, I have NEVER had a virus or spyware on my systems. NEVER.

And every time I am fear-mongered into getting an AV program or spyware program, I find I wasted my money.

And I've never had AIDS because I never took an AIDS test but have had sexual intercourse for the past 20 years.

If I had intercourse in a monogamous relationship with a non-infected partner, why would I get tested?

Using an AV when you KNOW how to not get a virus is like wearing a condom with your faithful wife to avoid getting HIV. It's overkill and unnecessary.

I did too... for years. Until I realized I was wasting my time, money and computer's resources. An AV on "auto-protect" seriously slows down your web browser and E-mail.
