McAfee Internet Security Suite 2008 - is there a serial number?

Hi there,

I need your help! Can anyone confirm if there is at all a serial number included in the McAfee Internet Security Suite 2008 box? I sold the SW, which is only the contents of the box, and now the buyer is complaining that the SW is not working on vista and that there is no serial number and that this is all fraud anyway. For $30 bucks after 6 years and nearly 200 feedbacks? I don't think so.

So, could anybody please enlighten me if there is a serial number? And no, I am not asking for the actual number . . .

I use free programs (McAfee & Norton are not nice to a PC) A pay for program has to have a activation code as I understand or the world could buy one & share it. If no one gives a answer return his money.

Putting a serial number activation code on the box itself defies the logic sniff test. Because then anyone could illegally download the program, go to a store to find the boxed product, and just jot down the activation code with no purchase necessary.

McAfee may not be the best product going, but putting the activation code on the box would take incredible stupidity.
