I recently installed mcafee virus scan 4.51 on a win98 se machine and everytime i open ie, it freezes when i try to connect to a webpage. i have tried multiple webpages so that is not the problem. if i simply kill the virusscan application ie 5.0 works properly. I would really like to not have to upgrade IE if at all possible because this machine is working fine and does not need anymore resources taken up by a newer ie version. Let me know if you guys know of any known issues or anything I can do to stop this problem. Thanks.
