MBR Problem

Hi all,

I installed a new WD 60gig drive as a slave on the same IDE as my 75XP 60gig.
I used the Diskmanager software to install the WD drive, and it works fine.

However, when I reboot, I get an "Inaccessible Boot" error. To go around this, I restart Diskmanager and rewrite the MBR - then I can get into Win2K. But, as soon as I reboot again - same problem!

WTF is going on?

Can anyone help?

try booting off a bootdisk and typing "fdisk /mbr" at the command prompt

might help clear out MBR

I rewrote the MBR again and reinstalled the drives in Win2K - works for now.
