MBR or GPT? W7 Ult 64

I am adding 2 ea. Western Digital RE3 WD1002FBYS 1TB hard drives to my PC and need advice on the partition style.

These are for critical data storage only so no OS requirement. I may configure them in RAID 1 with a remote possibility of adding a 3rd disk which would require GBT but I’d have to rebuild the array anyway.

I’ve read the general definitions, don’t see myself moving the drives to a system not able to support GBT so any advantage or disadvantage I havn't considered for GBT over MBR ?

windows is unable to use a GPT drive as a boot drive. that is the only disadvantage.

well, that and some drive tools might not be able to work with it.
