Does anyone know any of the details of this card. I unfortunately (I disagree with their active political views) have an MBNA Platnum Plus card (upgrade from their Platnum card). I'd switch to another card but I'm going to buy a house soon and I:
#1 need the credit limit to furnish the house and don't have time to build another card up,
#2 don't want a bunch of applications in my credit rating before I buy the house.
So for the time being I'm with MBNA. They recently sent me information to upgrade the Platnum Plus to their next level, Quantum. But none of their mailings or website provide any information about the card. The one thing that sounds interesting is no foreign exchange fees (and I'll be going to Japan and Germany soon). Other than that, I can't find any information about the card. Does anyone here have any more details.

Note: I've never paid a penny in interest, and never will, so the interest rate won't affect me. However, you'd think they at least tell you the interest rate for those people who do pay it.

I fixed the link, just 1 minute before you posted though. I don't know what the new card will have - cash back is a possibility but not likely. That is why I'm asking. I use other cards far more frequently for their cash back features but many places won't accept them, thus this is my last resort card.

Plus Rewards Program

Clients earn 1 point for every $1 spent in net retail purchases. Rewards may be earned with as little as 2,500 points. Points may be used for airfare aboard any major U.S. airline for foreign and domestic flights with no blackout dates. Travel Rewards are defined in terms of the number of Points required and a corresponding Maximum Dollar Value (MDV). If the dollar cost of a Reward exceeds the MDV, you must pay the difference between the cost and the MDV in order to obtain the Reward. The difference can be charged to the Quantum card, which will earn rewards points for the transaction. For information on enrolling, refer to Enrolling in the Quantim Plus Rewards Program. Points are tracked automatically and displayed on the Quantum card monthly statement. Accumulated points earned in the past month can also be viewed on-line at www.ibsplusrewards.com after the account cycles. A complete selection of Rewards is displayed at www.ibsplusrewards.com and, upon request, MBNA will mail a printed catalog with an abridged selection of merchandise rewards. Rewards may be redeemed through MBNA at 1-800-435-1293. Merchandise may also be redeemed via the Plus Rewards web site.

That sounds kinda cool....my MBNA just got upgraded to Platinum but I wonder if I should apply for the Quantum...
It's the only card I use, so it wouldn't be bad....

Let's just say it was a cut-n-paste job from the intranet at work. I cut out those uninteresting parts about how your financial advisor gets an even point-for-point match with your purchases and a couple thousand just for signing you up, and also the part about how its for internal use only ;)
