(A First world problem / rant)
So I've had a Visa card for a while, and last year I decided to get a Mastercard to complement it, plus Costco in Canada is MC only. I applied and got MBNA MC since that one seemed generally recommended.
Fast forward to yesterday - I got mail from MBNA with my new MBNA Visa Infinite card. My current MC will be deactivated Dec 1 or when I activate the new one. WTF?!?
They switched the card type from MC to Visa. I already have Visa with good benefits etc, I have no use for another one of the same kind, and I lost a CC I can use at Costco. No notice, no nothing, just here's your new Visa card. I see on RFD (RedFlagDeals) forum a huge thread about this, tons of people looking for another MC to switch to, since many are in the same boat.
What a shitty and appalling business move, especially without any notice.
I'm leaning towards Tangerince MC card now, if any Canucks have some recommendations for MC, chime in...

- I had a MBNA MasterCard as a secondary CC to use at Costco etc.
- MBNA replaces it with Visa out of the blue (I already have Visa)
- I'm now a sad (and pis*ed) panda
