MBM saved me

Its true, i always just thought of Motherboard Monitor as a cool program to run and be paranoid about my system when nothing's gonna happen. But just yesterday it saved me. I noticed my case temperatures reaching 111 F, and i quickly opened up my case. Turns out that my little 486 fan on my G400 died (i think the bearings got messed up). The fan didn't turn fast, and seemed like it was drawing all the current from the 12v supply which i connect all the fans to. My case fan stopped moving and my cpu fan was also spinning slower. I took the 486 fan out and everything went back to normal. The fan motor was really hot to the touch, i guess it was just old...

good thing nothing else went bad!

thanks mbm! 🙂😛😎

You were REALLY lucky there!

It would not have been fun if all the fans had stopped after a little while there...

The case fans AND the cpufan... You'd have fried it in just a minute or so...

yeah, that's why i leave asusprobe running all the time on my pc. Toldme once when my 12v dropped to 0 because of a bad PS andi just yanked the plug.
