MB swapping

Is it possible to SWAP MOBOS if both have VIA chipsets (the old
is MVP3 and the new KT133), without re-installing WinMe ?

Even w. the same chipset there can be problems. What has always worked for me is to hack the registry by deleting the entire HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Enum info and letting the OS re-detect/install components after the switch. It also is a good idea to start the new configuration w. only the video card, adding what you have left one by one after successful detections and reboots to desktop. I'm taking my own advice today as I change from a VIA to ALi chipset.
