I just build a machine: AMD 2500+, Asus a7N8x Deluxe, 1 Gig Kingston HyperX 2700 RAM, Radeon 9700 Pro. I'm using the on-board sound.
So, I fire it up and everything seems fine. I run 3DMark2001 and get 14,650-ish. Great. A week later, when I try to run it again, the computer mysteriously shuts down--powers off.
The CPU is running in the low 40C range. I can play Medal of Honor (AA) for hours without it going down. I ran Memtest86 3.0 for about an hour and a half with no problems.
Any ideas?
