With AMD releasing new die sized core CPUs and brining there wattage lower this allows for them to be used in older motherboards that couldnt support more cores or higher speed ratings due to there power needs and burning the motherboard up.

I have 2 motherboards from the same mfg one is an AM2 (89w rating) and the other is a AM2+ (98w rating). (Not naming names, Ill let somone else start that)
With the release of the A2-X3/X4 and the P2-X2/X3/X4 running lower watt demand you think they could be used, But I hear many others have the same situations about different mfg's.

Checking there websites motherboard mfg's display and claim going green but refuse to make any efforts for bios updates for these semi older motherboards which in turns make them disposable, Which is not cool.

I use one of the motherboards for my own workstation for image editing as the business is to cheap to come out stone ag, One of the newer CPU would make for a great upgrade improvement without having to redo the whole system over.

Anyone else run into this and care to comment.

Also if anyone could comment on the real difference between AM2 and AM2+ other then watt rating and single or multi power rail.
