MB/Memory help

I have a MSI 865GM2-LS Socket 478 Intel 865G and I also have an Intel Pentium 4 2.8C Northwood 2.8GHz Socket 478 Processor so therefore, allows me to run ddr400 memory however, my mb won't allow it. I have ddr333 running now but i would like to use my two sticks (1gb) in my mb. I'm not sure if i just have a whack mb and need to replace it or if I need to change my bios settings. the only thing i saw that i might be able to change is setting my computer at a higher optimal setting or something along those lines. but it said that it might cause instability. any suggestions?
