Thanks for reading. I am putting together my first system and I have an ASUS CUSL2 mb and an In-Win case, which I just received.

There are four steel risers and two copper ones. The instructions in the motherboard call them a copper ground screw.

My questions are these:

1. Do I need plastic spacers between the motherboard and the case if I have 6 risers that keep it spaced from the case?

2. What needs to be grounded with a copper grounding screw?

Thanks

I wouldn't think you need plastic spacers if it didn't come with them. My Evercase came with steel risers, after much confusion I realized the mobo wouldn't fit with the risers in, it is screwed directly to the raised screw holes in the steel case, so I assume motherboards are designed to electrically isolate the screws.

Hope that is helpful.

If you want to get anal about things, you could also put a small patch of electrical tape on the steel risers and screw through it.
