MB hangs looking for network during POST

I received a replacement IP35 MB from ABIT. During POST it repeatedly gives the following message, before eventually booting up:

Realtek RTL8110SC Gigabit Boot Agent
Press Shift-F10 to configure...

-I have disabled Network Boot in both the BIOS settings and in the RTL811SC itself.
-I have cleared the CMOS and flashed the BIOS to version v17.
-I have tried removing MB from case, connecting only necessary parts.

Thanks in advance for any input you may have.

Do you have a HD with a valid bootable MBR in the system? If not, then it may be trying to network boot.

Maybe "Boot other devices" is still enabled in BIOS?

Thanks for the response, I do have a HD with Windows partition on it that system eventually boots from. I have had "Boot other devices" disabled.

If you have not already done so, in the BIOS:

Integrated Peripherals --> OnBoard PCI Device --> Network Controller --> Invoke Boot Agent: Disable

(But leave Network Controller: Enabled or you'll turn the NIC off completely).

Thanks. I have tried both disabling boot agent and network controller.

Ok, that's really weird. What happens if you hit Shift-F10?

I am able to get in and change the network controller's settings, but nothing works, not even disabling network boot.
