im' looking for a new motherboard for my Q6600. so far i'm running a single video card and there is a VERY VERY slim to none chance i'll use dual cards. i'd like to be able to OC the CPU up to about 3.4- 3.5ghz tho (my VID is 1.2125 which is low) and i'll be WCing.
-4 satas are enough for me, dont care about raid
-as many USBs as possible
-no FW, or any other crap
-good onboard is a +, but if not i have an audigy 2 ZS Plat to fix that
-cheapness is also good!

please inform me of some good ones and why you think they're good for me..

all other parts are in signature. my ds3p is dying

If you're into overclocking then the UD3 series hands down, wipes the competition off the floor. I just bought a UD3R to replace my Asus Maximus II Formula to get some high fsb with my quad.

I'll second that Gigabyte UD3R or UD3P are excellent choices!
I have the UD3P simply cuz i may want to add a second Nvidia card for PhysX later on. ;)

I think you would be happy with the UD3R...I bought one just to run my quad...to many others couldn't handle the stress.

okay i guess i'll give gigabyte another shot. i just sent in my p35-ds3p due to random lockups that i could not solve. Therefore i guessed that it was the MB (hoping its not the CPU) and sent it in. i'm going to test out the RMA board then come back and prob get the latest p45 MB from gigabyte

Biostar has a nice single slot socket 775 MB much like the Tpower but cheaper, I'll see if I can link it for you. For $99.00 that I paid over six months ago I'm Very happy with it too!
Here it is and only #69.99 plus WOW!
YOu will be happy oh and 500 FSB is like a starting point for this board too..........

There are plenty of boards out there that can go over 500FSB, that is no longer a great achievement. Pick anything reliable in your budget that's P35 or P45 and it should last you a while.
