Maze 5, Swiftech MCW60, or dtek gfx fuzion(not released)

Can anyone tell me wether theyd get hte maze5 or mcw60( most people have said the mcw60) but I'm waiting for the gfc fuzion. If anybody knows any sites with reviews of the gfx fuzion, could you post please? Thanks in advance

what video card are you intending to install this on?

I think EK 8800 or EK 7900 would do better then both.

the best block for the 7900GTO hands down will be the EK 7900 or DD's Koolsah. Id go with the EK as its 30 dollars cheaper.

However you cant upgrade your GPU unless you go GTO -> GTX

the next option you have then is the MCW60 which i feel would be the better block. However these guys have really high clearance so watch out if you intend to SLI on a Old SLI board. You'll run into tube kink problems.

If you have low clearance, the Maze4 LP is a better choice then all i given so far, due to its low profile. But you'll have problems installing ram sinks with this block. Modification of ramsinks is required.


The EK and DD block i listed at top cool both Core and Ram, hence why i suggested you upgrade to the greater. Performance wise, i dont think you'll honestly see a large difference however, the EK and DD block will keep your entire card cooler, and maybe even allow you to push for those exta 30-40mhz.

full cover blocks = spending $100 each time you upgrade your card for a new waterblock
also have the advantage of using less fans in your case, less fans = less noise if that's an issue for you


blocks like the maze5,dtek fuzion,etc... = only need to buy mounting adapters for each gfx card upgrade
you can use ramsinks to cool off whatever the gpu block doesnt

it's all a matter of how much $$$ you're willing to spend

I'm not really looking to oc, cuz 7900gto's are pretty much gtx's with cruddy ram(pretty much unoverclockable w/o being unstable) and the core clock is fast enough. I'm mainly getting a gpu block because the 7900gto stock fan is too big and I cant fit into the case. Full block is a bit too overkill for me and ramsinks would suit me perfectly fine.

actually you'll be amazed at how much faster a card runs at 630mhz vs 520mhz stock.

I actually notice a difference when playing even the simplist of games like CS: Source on 1600x1200 resolution.

well 650/660 with 512 ram is a huge improvement from my 7900gt 625/900 with 256 ram. The ram speed of course decreased...........by a lot but I'd take double the ram anyday. And my highest resolution is like 1280x1024 or some junk lol wish i could run 1600x1200

well a 7900GT can be volt moded to 1.5V safely with a full feature block. I pulled off 710 on XFX 7900GT's when they were on my DD NV79's. And no the blocks never broke 40 loaded for 15 or so hours on ATI Tool.

Volt mod is hella easy to do also.

If your wondering why??? its because theres a lot more cooper for the heat to transfer to. This allows a lot more room on the GPU for heat to be pulled.

I should also note, i was pwning X1900XTX's at 710mhz
