It's a mediocre vanity car, at best.
The rotary design didn't fly before, unless you were a super enthusiast, and it's not flying now. No big surprise.

Yeah, that's right, they happily sell crap because they love pulling every RX-8 vehicle back in for testing at manufacturing plants rather than use their dealers and doing thousands of hours of labor all on their own dime.
my point is that they put this car into production either without knowing or without caring that it was crap. somebody fvcked up big time. hindsight is ALWAYS 20/20, but keep in mind that the turbo 2.3 is already in production and the same people who HOPEFULLY got their asses fired for the RX-8 are likely to have still been in charge to "o.k." the Mazdaspeeds, as well.
