thinking of getting a 99 one from someone at work

i drove it, it looks pretty good


anyone own it or have any experience with it?

My friend has had two. Only problem with the first one is that he ran it into a deer at 60 mph.

Not to mention that it comes cut up into individual portions for free (they're tenderized too!) ;)

He did it on the way to my house, about a quarter mile away. We made sure that thing was very, very dead.

It's a good car and really fun to drive. Which trim are you looking at?

However there are a few negatives to it: a) its loud on the highway (lots of windnoise) and the engine is really buzzy b) the way its geared (in the 5-spd ES model anyway) the engines revs pretty high at highway speeds so again its loud

Apart from that its a great car.

I have a Mazda Protege 5 2003.5 (latest version) in Laser Blue...

It's a sweet car..

Has stuff my 2000 Celica GT didn't have. LIke: leather wrapped steering wheel, strut bar, 4 wheel disc brakes, subwoofer, digital compass/temp gauge...

It's a awesome car for a unbeatable price. $17,329 out the door including tax, license, reg...
