If you guys have been following the release of the RX8, you'd notice that a lot of the RX8s that have been dyno-ed have been bringing in low numbers, low as 180rwhp on a car that has 2500miles on it (so its already broken it).
Anyway, apparently Mazda is acknowledging the lack of power and giving two options to the owners: a) they will buy back the car b) they will get free maintaince for hte length of their warranty plus $500 cash bonus. [Link
Also, on Mazda's site [Link], they have reduced the power from 250hp to 238hp for the manual tranny models and the automatic is now down to 197hp.
You'd think they would have learnt from the Miata fiasco that occured a few years ago.
I hope it still does well, for Mazda's sake, and the sake of future sport cars.
