Mazda CX-7 = Ford Edge?

is the CX-& mazdas incarnation of the Ford Edge?

They're based on the same platform. The CX-7 only gets a 2.3 turbo charged four banger though. You need to get the CX-9 to get the V6.

CX-9 = extended version of the Ford Edge platform
CX7 = all-new platform

Saw a CX-7 in front of Costco yesterday. Looks nice. But I won't be caught dead driving it.
