Mazda 3 Temp Sensor Issue

I've got a 2008 Mazda 3 S, and today I noticed that the ambient temperature display read 60 degrees, which is a bit off the actual temperature of 21 here in Chicago. I picked my wife up for lunch, ate, dropped her off, ran an errand and came home. By the end of the trip, it was apparently 88 outside. Has anyone else had this problem or an idea of how to fix it?
 
Seems like it should still be under warranty since it's an 08. I would bring it to the dealer for them to fix.
