Depends - but I prefer Mayo over the Miracle Whip...even though Miracle Whip has less fat content than Mayo. :(

The main differences between the two then seem to be the additives. Regular mayonnaise is basic and simple with only a few main ingredients. Miracle Whip takes the main recipe of mayo and then complicates it by adding high-fructose corn syrup and sugar, making it sweeter tasting.

Miracle Whip also has less fat content than mayonnaise and is self-labeled as a salad dressing, whereas mayo is considered to be a general condiment.

Agreed, was just about to post the same sentiment. Poll needs option for neither.

Also agreed. I choose mustard, preferably either the real kind with mustard seeds or a spicy dijon. I could see a thread and poll going on about mustard as well.

both are abominations and should be eradicated.

Take some jumbo lump crab and dip into fresh made mayonnaise and say that again. Your words are heresy.

Now miracle whip is like the whipped, rotting corpse after Mayo whipped up on it.

Mayo.

Miracle Whip actually tastes like really tangy fat free Mayo... A.K.A. not so good. Although, I use fat free mayo or mayonnaise salad dressing if anything because it has significantly less calories. Depending on what you're using it in, you may not notice the difference (that much at least). But if you use a ton of mayo, you'll obviously notice it. :p

i have and it makes me gag
mayo needs to be used as sparingly as possible. as i said above i almost never put it on things unless its chicken/tuna/egg salad

i send burgers back if they fuck up and put mayo on my burger when i tell them not to

According to your link it is...?

According to my link it's not.

It's a lot thinner. If i remember right it's more a ranch dressing consistency. little tangy.

If you've ever tasted Pfeiffer Cole Slaw dressing, Salad Cream has the same taste. I know it's an odd reference, but when I first had Salad Cream in the UK, I was immediately reminded of the many salads I had as a child at my grandparents with Cole Slaw dressing on top. You can find Heinz Salad Cream at Cost Plus or British import shops.
