How do Canadians not plan ahead for winter? I understand that it is a quite a big thing up there.

Very few people do period. Its actually a rare thing to get a call, hey my furnace is 15 years old and I'd like to replace it. Usually its I'm freezing you need to come now why can't you fix it now. Then they bitch about after hours rates and emergency opening fees at the supply house.

I suppose. We waited until our furnace was 45 years old to replace it and then only because we were going to central air. The furnace we replaced still ran fine though.

20 or years in this game and i'm out.

If you don't do something about your living situation...you won't last that long. You'll take a dive head first off the top of your igloo or kick a moose in the nuts...

At that age the furnace will last forever, newer ones not so much. The old ones aren't very safe though and they burn a lot of gas, I always tell people to replace them. Newer slightly older ones I generally tell people just let them ride and see, could be 12 could be 25, as long as they're in good shape at the time. Might as well find out, a few days weeks without heat ain't that bad here usually 20s when its cold for the most part, every now and then we hit the singles/teens rarely in the negatives.

Thats not how it works. Having to hide food means your nephew has you. Step up, be a man and punch that son of a bitch in the mouth if he takes your food. Actually you should punch him in the mouth and throw him out the door but getting him not to take your food is a good start.

He already lets him steal his beer and weed, you think he's going to make a stand over food?!?

His balls would have to drop first and considering that they haven't yet I wouldn't hold out hope of that happening. The nephew sure as hell isn't going anywhere, he has it made living there!

Taking my weed and beer cuts right to the heart but taking what I need to survive, you better be ready for a fight.

Funny enough I've thought a few times what if the house was broken into, after a long day at work. The first thought after is if they've taken the beer out of my fridge there is going to be hell to pay. I better have at least 3 beers while I wait for the cops.

Either way, Mayne still effed.

Is that a problem since he's not really dead?

DaEff. Who wants to go to flat America?

Unless it's for his pot grow....I guess.

Do they even have airports in the fly-over states? If so...why?

Shrug, I don't live paycheck to paycheck so I'm not going hungry anytime soon but if you swipe my booze or drugs I'm going to be way more pissed than if you swiped my last pizza pocket or whatever. Now if you swiped my ribeye fresh off the grill while it's resting, it would depend on how much booze/drugs versus the steak.
