I did not get around to converting the rest of the machines at my friend's store to SETI@Home as a Service the other day, so I was going to knock out a couple of them today before meeting a friend for lunch. I removed all traces of the SETI@Home set-up that had been on there (CLI with a shortcut to SETI Driver in StartUp) and went to use IsOs' excellent Win9X SETI@Home Service Install w/SETI Driver like I had used on all of the other machines there.
It installed fine, and I restarted, and the screen came up asking for my user information. I told it I was a current user, and entered my e-mail address. It would then hang there. I closed the one window, and another would pop up and ask for my e-mail again. It would accept it, then sit there doing nothing. Was OK's down for a bit today perhaps? This Service Install is set up to route through his proxy. Is there something else that could be causing it not to finish setting up? This did not happen to any of the other machines, but happened to two today simultaneously, which makes me think it may have been the connection.
