Maybe we could relax a bit with the stickies in OT?

Why did we start syickying individual job postings? While I realize that some members might be interested, isn't the unemployment thread sufficient? If you're looking for a job, just look in the unemployment thread.

Xbox360 thread: has the console's been out long enough now that it can be moved to games/programming? I think so.

Two NFL game threads: Couldn't this be just one thread? The games are several hours apart and there's a very good chance that it will be the same posters in both threads, so why not consolidate?

Ipod thread: Why is this even stickied at all? What percentage of ATOT actually owns a 60 GB Ipod video?

"Gentlemen, we have ladies here": OK we get the point, it's been posted for months now. Just plug it into the FAQ and apply it, I don't think the sticky is necessary at this point.

Am I the only one who feels this way?

Consideration.
The two NFL threads will probably fall after Sunday - that is what happened last week.
There will probably have a new SB thread created and stickied.

The Job threads should soon fall; they have served their purpose and eventually will become outdated (1-2 weeks at most for usefulness).

The Gentlemen thread exists because there are still adolecents here (mind if not body).
That issue has discussed in a previous thread.

That accounts for 5 stickied threads.

I have no exposure for the Ipod or the XBox thread; therefore I will not attempt any explanation for why they are up there. Zim is a respected member; therefore there may be a good reason for it being there.

i dont get why the linux db/admin + xbox threads are still there.
the linux thread should be in the job thread (at least when i posted a job for my company not only was my thread locked but i was sent a harsh email by the mod on duty to stick it in the networking thread)
and the xbox....well...who cares at this point...

One will be useless in a couple of week - keeps the trash under control for now.
One is needed as I stated earlier - until common sense rules OT; the adolecents (age, body & mind)
