The bottom line is that your head, jaw, and face don't go on some random growth spurt once you hit 35 years of age. All of his records should be tossed out. He should have to prove that he didn't take the steroids. Not the other way around.

Can you imagine if our justice system worked this way. Reminds me of a potential juror I met once at jury selection. Defendant was goint to plead 5th so we wouldn't have to testify. Potential juror says: "If he's innocent why would he take the 5th" Some people have it backwards, and it's scary.

OK, but how is he supposed to prove that he has NEVER EVER juiced? You can't prove the nonexistence of something.

I've never ever touched a recreational drug other than tobacco and alcohol.
But how the hell can I prove that I've never dropped E or smoked pot? If you can't prove that I did it, than I never did it.

ROFL. I knew that this was going to be about my post. Baseball players have had years to step up and take blood tests but they keep hiding behind the union. If you think that it's normal for a man's head and jaw to grow a noticeable amount after he's 35 years old, then you are pretty damn naive.

But if all that a convicted killer had to do to prove himself innocent was to take a simple blood test and he refused, you can bet that I would be really suspicious. But I guess some people are living in a la-la land.

edit: and no, he doesn't have to go back to when he was 12. I'd just like him to explain the jump from 40 home runs to 72.

See, we have this little thing called a Constitution.
And towards the end of that little slip of paper, there is another little piece of paper called the "Bill Of Rights"
And #5 in that list says, among other things, nor shall [any person] be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself. It doesn't matter if it makes you suspicious. No proof is no proof.

If the killer was convicted, he would already have been proven guilty.
But someone is presumed innocent unless he is proven guilty in America, and yes, the systems does allow people who are "obviously" guilty to go free.
But it's better than the alternatives.

I think people should be required to take a basic skills test before they are allowed to post and that test should cover:
Economics
US Government
Ethics
Logic
Reading Comprehension

I wholeheartedly believe the guy is a juicehead but without REAL proof, it means nothing.

And now for the logic part.
It doesn't matter if you look stoned. If your employer doesn't require the test, you don't have to take one. People can speculate all they want. The actions of the players' union speaks quite loudly.

But no proof is still no proof. Until MLB and the union steps up to the plate (no pun intended), you've got nothing on Barry Bonds.
