Maybe the DPC want to do OGR too...?

That thread is about the Dutch Power Cows Hitparade (DPCH). They are some stats generated by a program, you've probably seen the output of it on the dpc forum or on tweakers.net.

Someone is asking to generate that stats also for OGR, they are currently only generating stats for RC5.

There are a few people here at DPC who are running OGR but the majority of the DPC want to stay focused at RC5, just so we can keep up the rate we are currently running.

And there is a little debat over it, it probably will end up in the fact that we still keep focused on RC5.

Thanks...Just curious as that was why I placed the "?" in the original thread title...

I personally wouldn't mind that more of the DPC switched to OGR (hehe!)😀

I started the topic.

After I was wandering through my Address list, I found an OGR stats link.
I've got one PC on OGR! 🙁

Then I adjusted one PC to cicle through OGR and RC5. I looked at my OGR stats today and I see a great leap in places... up! 🙂

If ppl with a big herd could get only one at OGR then DPC will jump quite far...up! 🙂
We could kick some a$$ there too!

PC Dealer-

Welcome to AT Forums.

As an OGR cracker, I have encouraged people with AMD K6 CPUs to do OGR.
K6s are quite efficient at it, in fact they almost equal a P2 in OGR output. OGR is definitely the best distributed project that I know of for that CPU.
Perhaps that may encourage some users to move them to OGR. I don't think that doing so would detract too much from RC5, where K6s are rather weak anyway.

We would certainly welcome the competition in the OGR contest.

Greetings to DPC

edit- Here is the TA Speed-o-meter page that includes the latest OGR client speeds.

Like Scraper said: we will stay focust to RC5-64.
But I believe that we can get very high in an short time at OGR. Tha will get more attention to the distributed.net projects -> get more members -> more cracking -> more to compete.

That's where it's all about he? 🙂
