Hello All.

I just got approved for a new low % financing option for Dell Small Business, and I had a question for all you laptop lovers.

I'm Considering selling my LT, and would like to know what you thought was a fair price range to expect:

Here's what I have:
Dell Inspiron 5000
PIII 600
Advanced Port Replicator (with Ethernet Built In & Sound, SP/DIF)d
2 Hard Drives (1 18 GB, 1 12 GB, only one in at a time)
1 CDRW PCMCIA (8X)
1 DVD PCMCIA (these are hot swappable)
256 Megs Ram
2 years remaining on Full Service Contract from Dell.

I'm not looking for any offers. I'm just trying to figure out if I'm going to buy or Pass for later. The system I'm looking at costs $3000

I'm probably going to sell on EGAY if I do, and I was wondering what a good reasonable reserve price is. I was thinking somewhere around $1800. Thoughts?

If i'm in the wrong forum, i'm sorry. I'm not asking for any bids

Actually it goes to no forums. I read a few moderator posts that price checks like this are not allowed.

calpha - I'd also try the Anandtech For Sale/Trade forums although you'll probably get more for your laptop on eBay. You might want to sell the advanced port replicator and one of the hard drives separately. If you do that, there's a chance you might get $1800 for it all. It just depends on your eBay listing, the pictures, the specs, your sellers rating, etc.

How about checking on eBay what a comparable laptop is selling for?
