My system is tweaked pretty well and runs fine but I'm thinking about upgrading the CPU from a 733 to a 933. I know slot 1 is dead and my best bet would be to get a new mainboard that would handle a CPU over 1GHz. I'd rather wait though and build a completely new system when the newer technology comes down in price a bit. I just want to give my existing system a shot in the arm. Will I see an appreciable performance increase with 200 more MHz? Or am I just being goofy? I can sell my 733 for around 200 bucks which would make the upgrade a $150.00 (approx.) investment. Any informative ideas (besides seeing a therapist) would be appreciated. Thanks

Most of the one's I've seen at that price are OEM's without heatsink or fan. At any rate, the $50.00 discrepancy isn't worth disputing. The 200MHz difference in the CPU's is why I made the post question. This wasn't the hot deal link, anyway, was it? Thanks.

Have ya considered upgrading you video card, not sayin its a bad card, but you'll probably see more of an improvement there than ya would with a new processor, dont think you'll see much, kinda seems like a waste, but hey I hear ya I want to upgrade too, I'm runnin a P3 550@733.
I'd wait.
