I have nVidia's firewall that won't allow live update of Norton AV
I have Norton personal firewall but how do I disable the nVidia firewall to install it?
Should I run "Internet Worm detection" in NAV with nVidia's firewall? (Blocked a worm while using nVidia's firewall).

Just a suggestion.
 
Too specialized. A general security forum would be more useful. Don't think it would get much traffic though.

The easy questions will get asked and reasked, and the hard ones won't get answered, either for lack of knowledge, or because that's someone's paying job. The answer to your question is to dump nVidia. Probably should replace with kerio, rather than norton, but if you're using NAV anyway, I suppose NFW is ok. To shut down nVidia firewall, shut down related services from administrative tools (assuming it works like all other SW firewalls), though you could just uninstall.
 
Good idea, would be easier to find answers.

Perhaps online security forum that includes talking about: settings for servers, settings for desktops, applications for security, online shopping security, info about new online scams, etc.

 
Those questions can be handled in the Software forum.

Some security stuff can also be handled in OS or Networking, depending on what the question involves.

A security forum would turn into a bunch of weenies asking about zone alarm and other crap software. It'd be boring in no time. 🙁

yup, there are forums that I dont visit, I know they are there for people to use for their needs. I think a Computer Security forum would be a great idea.

That stuff fits well in other forums. It would be dragged down by the repetitive posts of slack jawed yokels asking "which firewall should I use." It'd be a waste, a cesspool for those that can't use google.

I'm sure there would be some who would ask the usual "no clue" question, like "which free firewall is the best?.. "what if I have 4 firewalls, will it be better?" "should I avoid dating transexuals?"
