I am currently using a Shuttle AK31A and recently upgraded the CPU from a Duron 700 to an XP-1600+ (AOGIA).

I used to run the Duron 700, completely stable, at 145x6.5 or 942mhz (1.85v CPU / 2.6v RAM).
I can not run this XP, stable, at anything above 140x10.5 or 1.47ghz (XP-1700+). It makes no difference how much voltage I give the CPU or the Memory. Even at this speed, I sometimes get file load errors when going into Windows. I run WIn 2K Pro.

Also, I have noticed that when I kill the power with the ATX PS switch or the Surge Protector, then switch the power back on, the system starts right up. It did not do this before, and I have the BIOS set to remain off after a power interuption. I even borrowed another power supply and got the same results when using that PS.

Anyway, I believe that my AK31A is going bad and and am considering another board.

What is the BEST, CHEAPEST, motherboard for running and oc'ing an XP-1600+ CPU?

The best one to overclock is the Epox Kt333 board with the 8235 south bridge. I think newegg.com has it for $109.
