Back to the original discussion: new unemployment claims were very low again, 279,000. Anything under 300k is consistent with a strong job market. Hopefully we'll see another big kick in the June numbers, though we're still three weeks away.

If we see wage growth and prices start to move a bit, we might see the Fed change their interest rate policy soon...

Wage growth is the most important factor IMO. Its been an employers market for way too long.

Wage growth will only happen when the labor market (supply) tightens up or the demand for labor increases to allow increases to be asked and/or job hopping to get the increases.

At this point in time, from my POV, the wage increases are going to have to be self generated by each individual due to skill sets.
