May i suggest: Mod's having identifiers?

I understand why mods must be anonymous, but is there a problem with numbering the mods? so that any given mod can only log in with that identified mod account? we don't have to know the identity but just to have a handle.

I think mods should be held accountable for their actions just like anyone else, and that can't happen if all mods have the same login and indentifiers.

They are held accountable among their peers.
Some Mods have chosen to generate a psuedo identity label for entertainment value only.

There is a need for having multiple Mods logged on. There are may different forums and more than one may require close to full time supervision. Some Mods may have specialties with regard to certain areas that allow them to filter out the garbage.

Mods usually ban idiots or those that act like them.
Case in point, then continual thinning of the OT & PN herds. Those Mods are required to have PHDs in physcobabble analysis.😛

So far, no-one but a Mod has been able to make such an accusation of idioticy against me stick.

Then they should get self help too. Case in point Wallydraigle. A continued vendetta without explanation. Some are pretty cool, and we all know a bunch of them, but now again one or more goes off half cocked. HappyPuppy called whoever and got banned, not for the usual reasons, but he was honest. A lousy politician he would make.

Mods are human. Some vendettas may exist; however, many that may seem like one are usually because of the attitude of a given perp.

Others may not know the whole story of certain issues and therefore generate a slanted view.

The Mods are not required to issue explanations and most actions can be observed to be easily understood by rational people.

Idiots are a different story.

A slip-up by a given Mod may occur once in a while, however, given the amount of attitude that exists and challenges to the common sense rules, they sould be allowed some leewway.

Usually when a Mod has made and error, and it is pointed out politely by others, the problem can be resolved. Challenge or demanding of a Mod action will usually result in a mirror of the attitude being presented. Disrespect gets no respect.
