1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.

Middle to high end graphic gaming (FPS/MMO) I do not need the best as I will only be rocking a 1080P Monitor. I do not have the money to game in 4K but would like to see 60 FPS.

2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread

$1600 +/- 20% I need a new monitor which should be included.

3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.

USA

5. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc.

ASUS and WD fanboy as these have been parts which "knock on wood" have never failed me or arrived DOA.
But I am open to change...as you can see in my PPP build.

6. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.

MAYBE the 7 year old WD 1 TB BLACK as additional storage but this one has been running for over 7 years.

7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.

I want to try and overclock for sure...Just need to learn

8. What resolution, not monitor size, will you be using?

27 Inch 1080P 1680 x 1050 or better.... This has been my setting with my old PC.

9. WHEN do you plan to build it?
I plan to pickup all parts over black Friday and Cyber Monday. Next week Woot!

10. Do you need to purchase any software to go with the system, such as Windows or Blu Ray playback software?

Just Windows 10 I don't think I need PRO.

Below is a link from PCPARTPICKER....I just did a quick build..I am thinking my CPU and MB are overkill for a middle to high gaming rig. I am also confused often by the RAM.. I see other builds using everything from DDR4 2133-DDR4-3200..Out of the box I do not want to OC but I will after I research and learn how to. I understand it is software driven now using MB software...so the RAM I would like to buy should be ready to handle the OCed CPU.

OS will be on SSD along with 1-2 games. Everything else would be on the HDD.

Please let me know your thoughts. Since it has been time. I am a rookie for sure with

CPU liquid coolers...I picked one everyone seems to use and has good reviews

RAM - I selected 32GB prob could back down to 16GB. I choose speed of 3000 as that is what I saw many similar builds using the CPU use. Also does 4 sticks run faster than 2 sticks? I have read a little on this and it was getting into dual channel and quad processes etc..People seem to be disagreeing with each other int he thread I read.

GPU- Based on what I have read about 1080P gaming at 60 FPS this one is a beast which will last and 1/2 the price of the GTX 1070. I do not need a 1080 as I will not have the funds to buy a 4k Monitor. Make sense?

Monitor - Thoughts on this one? I def want a 27 inch or bigger for 1080P and low MS for gaming...
I already have a mouse..but a under 80.00 keyboard with blue lighting would be nice...I don't need a full blown gaming keyboard.

CASE and Color....I am fine with a mid tower and enjoy Blue, Green or White. Please suggest one as there are so many out there. I would like one which is easy to build in, hid the cables under the MB etc..

Please all comments welcome...As I stated it has been time for me but overall I think you all will suggest I downgrade the CPU, MB, RAM....(I7-6700K...16GB)

THANK YOU for even looking...I cannot wait to buy these parts and build this sucker...My current gaming rig is running VISTA!!! Yes that's not a joke....so you see why it is time...

I'm going to say it right now, for 1080p gaming as its main duty your rig is overkill, by a very large factor. Nothing is "wrong" with it per se but unless you plan on doing tasks that put a heavier load on the CPU by a good margin it's big time overkill. Here's the build I would recommend:

Explanation of changes:

CPU: There's nothing wrong with an i7 5820K but using it mainly for gaming is a pretty big overkill. The i5 6600K will perform the tasks listed without issue for quite some time. If you really want you can up it to an i7 6700K though.

CPU Cooler: I stuck with the same one although you could easily go with something like a Hyper212+ EVO and still be fine.

Motherboard: Nothing wrong with the ASRock that you picked other than it now not working with the CPU I picked. I tend to prefer Gigabyte motherboards and this is a solid one.

RAM: Technically the RAM can operate faster if you have 4 modules but you'll never see it in real world use cases. 16GB of DDR4-3000 is plenty

SSD: Stuck with the same one

HDD: Stuck with the same one

GPU Stuck with the same one

PSU: I swapped it because 750 watts isn't needed and the SuperNova G2s are better units than the standard SuperNova units

Optical Drive: Swapped it for the Pioneer as I have personally had a pair of LG drives fail on me (including the one you're looking at) for no good reason. It seems to be a bit of a widespread issue based upon reviews that I've read

Case: I've always like Fractal Designs cases and the R5 is a solid case that should work well

Keyboard: I swapped to a mechanical keyboard as your hands will thank you for the improvement in typing experience

Monitor: The Asus one that you chose was nice but this one has a much better IPS panel inside than the one you were looking at.

The higher refresh rate doesn't necessarily push you towards a 1070. The 480 should be able to push a 144hz at 1080p resolution at 140 fps most of the time, there may be some games where you have to lower the detail level a bit to get it to run at that framerate but not too many. If you're willing to splurge a bit you might want to look into getting a monitor with FreeSync so that the GPU and the monitor work together to give a smoother experience in terms of framerate overall. The Hyper 212 EVO is a very good fan based CPU and most of the time folks really only need water cooling if they're doing some higher overclocks.

Thank you!

I also have no problem lowering display settings in newer games to save 200+ on the GPU.

I will swap out the Water cooler for the hyper 212 evo. That also saves some nice money.

I forgot to mention. I have a normal 100 older 2.1 channel speaker system I assume I will use onboard sound. Does this change the MB I should look into or does the gigabyte do the trick?

Anyone know about this monitor? Has 144 and freesyc

The monitor looks like a decent unit, the AOC units that I've seen in stores have looked nice and crisp for the most part although I don't have any personal experience with that monitor it looks to be a solid buy. I agree with most of your changes although I still prefer the Gigabyte board, had some really bad experiences with Asus and their RMA department.

Thank you
As for gigabyte which one which one for this chipset do you recommend? I see so many versions for the z170 chipset
Do you know which one has the best sound and maybe ready for USB 3.1?

The Gaming 5 board that I linked has USB 3.1 support with a C connector and an ALC1150 audio chipset with some enhancements for quality audio which should work out quite well for you.
