Just found this phone in Target B&M ( Woodstock,GA) . Dont know if it is worth a flip, but I thought that I would give it a try. It is model number MPH7895 and it is a 2.4 ghz phone w/answering machine and caller ID. The upc is 49720-78950.Of course ymmv, but this was a 70.00 phone not long ago and for 17-18.00 it cant be all bad.

Peace

I just bought this little doggie. How's it working out for you? I hope it doens't freak out when the microwave is on, as the last two 2.4Ghz phones I bought (and returned) did.

I think this is the phone I bought at Target a while ago when it was on sale for $40. I have to say I'm not very happy with it and am currently searching for a new phone(which is why I'm in this thread). The volume on this phone is really weak and I get a lot of static sometimes for what seems like no reason. The automatic voice on the answering machine is starting to drive me crazy. It says "message" about a million times when you're listening to them. For example if I had 3 new messages and I wanted to simply listen to them, then delete them, it would sound like this.

"You have 5 new messages, message 1 'message 1 text', message 1 erased, message 2 'message 2 text', message 2 erased, message 3 'message 3 text', message 3 erased, you have no new messages"

I know it's a petty complaint but over time it's annoying that I can't just skip to the message and that I have to listen to that stupid voice tell me the message number before every message. It's not a totally bad phone and the built in caller id is nice, but I can't recommend it. I don't mean to thread crap, but just wanted to inform the AT community of my experiences.
