May be getting cable!

I called the local cable company today and asked them about the possibility of bringing their cable service to my road. I live on a 2 mile section of road between 2 other main roads that have cable, yet they havent run it down mine. And what seems strange is that there are quite a few houses on this road, if I remember right I counted around 50 houses at some point, along this section.

I dont know, I was told that a request would be passed to their construction crew and someone would be out to see if they are willing to run the cable I guess. Anyone ever have to call and ask the cable company like I had to? Was it successful?

no not boonies at all, not even a stones throw 🙂 its slippery rock, pa, and i have been "boxed in" by other roads with cable for years

no, i have dsl, but it just seems so slow to the cable that i had at my apartment in town

the dsl i have is sprint fastconnect....the only cable company here is armstrong cable

AccruedExpenditure: I actually prefer Dish Network to any cable tv or other satellite company, I am only concerned with the cable for the internet, so it will depend what it takes to get it out here if I go with TV through them or not. I do plan on moving to Vonage for our phone service that knocks about $15-$20 off the monthly bills
