May a US citizen be a politician in another country?

Title says it all.

Is there a law in this country against a US citizen being a senator/rep. in another country?

You'd also probably need to be a citizen of that other country too, but ultimately depends on the laws of the other country.

I seemed to recall that a person with triple citizenship (Canada/US & 1 of the Eastern European countries) run for PM or something. Might been in Poland, but not 100% sure.

It depends on the laws of the country. I don't see how the United States could prohibit one from becoming a politician in another country because they were a citizen of the USA.

Well, one step to become a US citizen is that you can not be a communist or something like that. (Within 5 years) How ironic isn't it?

I think you can be elected here on the local level as a foreigner.
foreigners also have the right to vote here on the local level
