Maxtor vs Western Digital 160gb HDD which would you choose

Hi..OD and Compusa have these drives at a good price..I picked up a Maxtor 160gb drive couple weeks ago but ihas 1 yr warranty and the WD has a 3yr warranty...
Do you think one is faster and a better performer than the other?

You should be able to get the Maxtor with 3yr warranty, I did. It would say on the box. And Id check Storage Review to see which one is faster. Apparently the Maxtor is.

My first MAxtor 160 gb came only with a 1 yr warranty ..how did you get a 3yr warranty...are there certain boxes..mine was a retail box from Staples
