Maxtor RMA - Unsupported SATA Controller

So my fairly new Diamondmax 10 300G drive bit the dust on me a week ago, bad clusters and corrupted data. Ordered a second drive from Newegg to get me back and running and plan is to RMA the old drive and run a RAID1 setup due to the pain in the ass this has been. Well I realized that my Nforce2 board isn't supported by the Maxtor Diagnostic tool they require you to use to get a RMA. Has anyone found a way around this besides finding someone who can put this in their system and test it? I don't have access to anyone nearby that has an empty SATA or the ability to even test it.

Thanks!

Their RMA department should have an 800 number to call. Tell them the brand or model of your SATA controller, and hopefully they won't just say "buy a supported controller".
