I took in somebody's late Maxtor disk, hoping to replace the sucker under warranty. Now it seems like www.maxtor.com doesn't work :p While I was under a rock, could Maxtor have choked on their Quantum acquisition and expired timelessly? It's pretty freaky when a huge company's website goes under for an extended period of time

PS: Especially seeing as Quantum's site is alive and kicking... hmmm.

their site is down, that probally means they were running IIS and got hacked and are too dumb to fix it :D

Probably just having server problems. It's pingable but just not serving pages.

they certainly are down, but i'm sure they're not "out"

asus's site used to go down all the time, and they're a HUGE company just like maxtor. this stuff happens i guess.

if you aren't too lazy to complain, your not too lazy to take two seconds to copy and paste
