after my 3 month ordeal with the ata100 pci maxtor card and drive,
still got problems-
sp2beta got the card working, sort of- I have a 40 gig quantum on it, but it doesnt boot so just use it for storage, have my 30 gig
maxtor as master on ide2 - well, added a 20 gig maxtor to the pci card, maxtor software would never detect it, finally connected it up by itself on ide2 and formatted it, etc., with a w98 boot disk...
now, the drive is available in w98, but win2k keeps telling me that it is unformatted, which isn't true, and trying to reformat it fails..........
1. how can I ever get this card to boot my drive?
2. how can I get win2k to recognize the new drive -(actually I've got another crapxtor I got for 50 bucks that I want to hook up as well).

system- w98 win2k dual boot (do everything in win2k, except games)

tnt2 ultra diamond 32mb vid
ide1 master iomega cdrw
ide1 slave toshiba dvd
